Q: What is a problem you're working to solve?
A: Providing easy access to gourmet treats that are as stunning as they are delicious.
Q: What is a lesson you've learned that has shaped your work?
A: To not be afraid to fail. Every failure comes with a lesson and gets us closer to success.
Q: Were you entrepreneurial when you were younger?
A: I was! I grew up watching my parents run a successful wholesale business in Venezuela. At a young age, I started retailing some of the items from their business to my friends in school. In my late high school years and during college I purchased clothing items from the US and retailed them to friends and family in Venezuela.
Q: What does a typical day in your life look like?
A: As a wife, mother of 2, and business owner every day is a juggling act. I start my days at 5 am and work with my team in fulfilling the orders for the day. In the afternoons I work on growing the business, correspond with customers and plan the details for the opening of the storefront. In the evenings I take my two daughters to their activities and spend as much time with my family as I can. This recharges me and allows me to start all over the next day.
Q: What’s one piece of advice would you give a young entrepreneur in Greater Cincinnati?
A: Don't be afraid to put yourself out there and sell your product or vision to your local community. If you are genuine and innovative they will have your back.
